AROMATHERAPY

An alternative medicine called Aromatherapy uses liquid plant materials, called essential oils, and other fragranced compounds from plants for the purpose of affecting a person's health or mood.

Essential oils do vary in chemical structure compared to different herbal products and this is because the distillation process only regains the lighter phytomolecules.

aromatherapyBecause of this essential oils (EOs) are rich in sesquiterpenes and monoterpenes, and VOC substances (esters, non-terpene hydrocarbones, aromatic compounds, some organic sulfides and more).

Aromatherapy is a general word that relates to any of the variety of traditions that use Essential Oils, sometimes as a mix with different alternative spiritual beliefs and medical practices. It has a specific persuasion and Western currency. Medical treatments to do with aromatic scents may live outside of the West, but may or may not be included in the meaning of aromatherapy.
